How many days do I need to climb Mount Kenya?
Most trekkers reach Point Lenana comfortably on a 5-day itinerary, which allows gradual acclimatisation. Fit, experienced hikers sometimes choose 4 days, while adding a sixth day increases summit comfort and scenery.
Which Mount Kenya route is most scenic?
The Chogoria route is widely considered the most scenic approach, with Gorges Valley, Lake Michaelson and Nithi Falls. Combining Sirimon up with Chogoria down gives the best all-round experience.
Can I join a group departure instead of paying for a private trek?
Yes. Our rolling departure calendar proposes small-group start dates for fixed-duration tours all year. Request a place on any proposed date, or ask us to plan custom dates for your private group.
When is the best time to climb Mount Kenya?
Mount Kenya can be climbed year-round. The drier windows are January to March and July to October, but the mountain creates its own weather on any date, so pack for all conditions.
